On the ethics

Companies use AI to filter your résumé.
You should use AI to answer back.

A 45-minute interview is a memory test disguised as a skills test. Nerves hide competence. Notes are already allowed — calculators are allowed — teleprompters are standard. MeetHawk just makes your notes smarter, in the moment when forgetting them costs you the offer.

We don't moralize the choice. We just make sure it's private, and that it's yours.

Can the interviewer see MeetHawk on my screen?

No. The overlay uses the Windows screen-capture exclusion API (SetWindowDisplayAffinity(WDA_EXCLUDEFROMCAPTURE)). Zoom, Meet, Teams, Webex, and OBS all see a blank rectangle where MeetHawk is — or nothing at all. Verified on current versions of every major conferencing tool. (Mac build will use CGSSetWindowCaptureExcluded once shipped.)

Does a MeetHawk bot join my interview?

Never. Audio capture runs locally on your machine — system loopback via WASAPI on Windows. No third-party participant in the call. The interviewer sees the exact same participant list they'd see without MeetHawk.

Is using MeetHawk cheating?

Companies have used AI to screen your résumé since 2022 — and to score your take-home, your coding round, and often the interview transcript itself. Using AI to help you answer, privately, with your own résumé as context, isn't different in kind. What the app won't do is invent experience you don't have — and we don't judge the rest of the choice.

What's the latency, really?

Median ~310ms from end-of-question to first word on screen, measured across 2,000+ sessions in the Jan–Apr 2026 closed beta. p95 is ~820ms — slower calls happen on a cold speech-to-text start. The first sentence of your answer is forming while the interviewer's last word is still echoing.

Why would I keep paying after I get the job?

Most people don't — and that's fine. Subscribe, interview, cancel — the 14-day refund window covers a short job search if you only need one or two weeks. About a third of users come back months later for the next role, and a small group stays subscribed because they run mock rounds before every big client/board meeting.

Where does my audio go?

Audio capture stays on your device. Short (≈10-second) chunks are sent to Groq for transcription, then discarded per Groq's zero-retention API policy. Questions and answers are stored locally on your machine. Privacy Mode disables our cloud database entirely. We do not train on your data; no third party sees it.

What roles are supported?

Software engineering (SWE, infra, mobile), product management, data engineering, DevOps, Salesforce admin/consultant, sales (AE, SDR). A universal adaptive prompt handles anything else — the role-specific configurations just tune it further.

Windows or Mac?

Windows 10+ (x64) today. Mac build is on the roadmap — join the waitlist and we'll ping you when it's ready. Installer isn't code-signed yet; SmartScreen will warn you on first run and we say so openly.

What if it doesn't work for me?
